Kismet Park started in 2001 with the aim of breeding quality good temperament show ponies and galloways.
The arrival of our first foal was extremely exciting but short lived. Harry Potter was bitten by a snake at only 8days old. Not to be put off we eagerly awaited next years foal.
Being a small stud we only breed a couple of foals each year, but aim at quality rather than quantity, with temperament an absolute must.
We are a family oriented stud and all family members are involved in some way. My husband shows our ponies, also trains and breaks in pacers. Our youngest son PJ helps break in and does the riding, Jarrod our eldest does most of the ground work and handling, while I do the show preparation and breeding side. So as you can see we are very hands on as a family.
We purchased our first stallion in 2005 as a 5mth old by accident as we went to the stud to buy a filly and my husband fell in love with a colt so we came home with both.
Next we purchased a Palomino Riding Pony stallion in late 2008, so we could add some extra height to our collection.
We are very excited to be starting on our next journey as breeders with our own stallions in 2009 and look forward to the arrival of our foals in 2010.
